The glaze makes it difficult to photograph, but you can see the depth of the layers better!

My first ones! I used paper on cereal-box cardboard, a little paint, a little cellophane, a little gold leaf, and an embellishment of polyclay hearts wrapped with wire and kissed with a rhinestone. I applied a heavy coat of glaze, and edged with copper foil tape.

I started with the patterned fabric that my friend Jen brought me back from her honeymoon and Hawaii.... and I hand-beaded some, hand-embroidered some, and machine embroidered a little. Each one was different...

A scan of my grandma's Aunt Wilma & her friends... scanned & printed on fabric, hand-colored a little, and trimmed out with some lace given to me by an 80-something-year-old-quilting friend- she says she got it in Ireland. (Grandma's family is part Irish...)

Made with my old jumper, recycled buttons, and some FABULOUS linen floral-print curtains I bought at a yard sale! I used Timtex in the middle, I like the stiffer feel.

My first Fabric ones were the Black & Whites, done crazy-quilt style, then embellished w/ machine embroidery and beads. The purple one with the large button was actually for the "Beads" swap- I used micro-beads to embellish it.
